Aleksandr Dubrovin - from radio station director to renowned real estate marketing innovator

Aleksandr Dubrovin, an innovator in marketing, believes that effective marketing in real estate starts with the project, even before the foundation of the future construction site is laid. The industry expert shared his experiences and told how he came into the profession in the first place.

"My first serious job was connected with my passion for music. During my university days, I played in a music band and organized student music festivals. In 1995, the first FM radio station opened in my hometown, which quickly became very popular. At that time I was preparing a major urban rock festival for young people, and it was a commercial project for me. I recorded a commercial for the festival in my home studio and offered the radio station as a media sponsor, placing my commercial on their waves for free.

At the time, the radio station was just starting out, and they didn't have an advertising production. The management was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the commercial I had recorded to announce a youth rock festival. They agreed to put it on the air for free and offered to set up a radio ad production studio. I gladly accepted their offer and began to develop that studio. A year later, the owner of the broadcasting company invited me to be the director of one of his radio stations, and later I headed a second radio station, which he bought from a competitor.

At the age of 21, I was able to succeed and become the general manager of two radio stations that employed about 40 people. Despite the fact that all my subordinates were older than me, I successfully managed the company and in the first year I was able to achieve high profits. After a while I decided to move from Chita to a larger city and set up my own advertising agency there."

After moving to Novosibirsk, the marketing expert Dubrovin Aleksandr created his own creative agency, which received a contract to work with the company "Clean Water". This company was involved in the construction of water production plants and rented space through industrial real estate brokers. Observing the brokers' work, Dubrovin noticed that their marketing tools for promotion were not effective enough. Two years later, he switched sides and became director of marketing for the same company. In a few years, he and his team brought it to the level of an industry leader: in 2005, the market share of Pure Water in the city was 90%, and Novosibirsk itself became No. 1 in the world in terms of penetration rate.

"In 2006, I started working in different companies, managing marketing departments in different industries. My work included different areas, such as the fashion industry, video game publishing and production of user equipment for Tricolor TV, the largest satellite TV operator with 13 million subscribers. In 10 years, I have accumulated a lot of experience in brand promotion and marketing campaign management.

In 2017, I was invited to join the team of professionals at PNK group. My role is to use my experience and knowledge in marketing to solve large-scale tasks to promote the industrial real estate brand and increase its market share. I have readily accepted this challenge and am ready to continue in this position."

From the beginning of his career as a commercial real estate marketing specialist Aleksandr Dubrovin realized that real estate was what he was really most passionate about and professional in. This industry is important to people and businesses because it serves as the backbone of the national economy.
